Douglas A. Beish Sr.

Douglas A. Beish Sr of Dover, Delaware, passed away Monday, March 2nd, 2026, at home surrounded by family. He was 76.

He was born June 2nd, 1949, in Berwick, Pennsylvania, to the late Earl E. Beish and Dorothy M. Irving.

Doug began his career working as an orderly during high school at the local hospital in Berwick, PA. Once graduating from Berwick High School, he went on to further his education at Franklin School of Science and Arts in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating he relocated to Dover, DE where he began his career at Kent General Hospital (Bayhealth). He dedicated 42 years of service there, retiring as Administrative Director of the Laboratory. While working full-time he would go on to attend Wesley College, Delaware State College and ended his schooling at Central Michigan University, earning a master's degree in Management & Supervision. He was a proud member of the Sigma lota Epsilon fraternity.

In Doug's life he found great joy in woodworking, tinkering around the garage, model railroading, Philadelphia sports, supporting his children, taking trips to Disney, and most importantly creating spread sheets.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie and Jeffrey.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margaret "Peg" Beish of Dover, DE; his children, Doug Beish Jr (Tanya) of Camden, DE, Mike Beish (Rebecca) of Aiken, SC, and Diane Mosby (Danny) of Dover, DE; his ten grandchildren, Chris, Gwen, Gabby, Courtney, Bailey, Sebastian, Owen, Lawson, Madison and Mason; along with four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday March 11, 2026, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends and family may gather one hour prior. Interment will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, Delaware.
