James White Obituary
The family is hosting a memorial service that will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Wolfe Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Born in Fort Mill, SC, James was the son of the late Edward Curr White and Bell Smith White. He was a graduate of Fort Mill High School and worked as a maintenance supervisor at Celanese for over 20 years before retirement. James was a member of Charlotte Church of Christ and was a US Army veteran. He enjoyed watching Clemson football, tending to his garden and spending time outdoors. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving is his loving wife of 76 years, Agnes White; his children, Eddie White (Lora), Debbie West, Ronnie White (Sheila), Tony White (Melissa); one sister, Gracie Stegall; grandchildren, Chad, Nate, Natalie, Zach, Aileen, Emily, Anna Rae; 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey White, 5 brothers and 1 sister.
