Patricia Pelatti Obituary
Patricia K. (Smith) Pelatti was born June 14, 1956 in Okolona, MS to Oscar Brumbley and Macye Lee Smith.
She graduated from Okolona High School and went on to obtain her degree from Mississippi Valley State in education. Patricia moved to Tampa, FL for a few years, from there she relocated to Willimantic, CT where she resided until her death. She became a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, The Golden Tones Choir, President of the Pastor's Aid, and was on the Education committee and the Prison Ministry. She started her working career at the Mansfield Training School and Natchaug Hospital. Patricia also worked at the Next Step Program and Holy Family Services as a case worker. She went on to work in the Department of Children and Family Services, later becoming a foster parent.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, sister Joann Calhoun, brother Dwight Smith and David and Shirley Stoney. She leaves behind to mourn her former husband Ismael Pelatti, children Jasmine (Cal) Whitfield, Cassius Nickson, Antonio (Jessica) Pelatti, and Tyrece Nickson of Willimantic, CT. Four brothers Paul Smith and John Smith of Connecticut, Ricky Smith of Virginia, and Perry Smith of Georgia, grandchildren Deidric Pelatti, Maya Brown, Zion Jeanty, and Mason Nickson all of Willimantic, CT, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Patricia's celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00am at Calvary Baptist Church, 412 Valley St. Willimantic. Her burial will be private.
