Patricia Pennine Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home - Greenville on Dec. 17, 2024.
Patricia "Pat" Pennine of Johnston, went to meet her daughter and members of her immediate family on December 16. She was 78 years young. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Bartholemew and Lucrezia (Tantimonico) Toolan.
Pat was employed by Almacs for many years, retiring upon that chains' closing, and held various jobs later in life to keep her off "of the couch." Her greatest pleasures were being with, and cooking for her family, who will all miss her and her kitchen skills deeply.
She enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, reading the newspaper cover to cover, true crime TV shows, Judge Judy, countless beach days at Galilee with her family and friends, and telling stories of her adventures in life that would have us in stitches laughing.
Together with her husband of 38 years Anthony, they raised 2 somewhat difficult sons, and a much easier daughter, persevering to watch them become successful adults.
Sadly, her daughter Lucrezia "Lecia" passed at 20 years of age, a loss she never recovered from (nor did anyone expect her to), yet soldiered thru that trauma over the last 38 years, staying strong for her sons and family.
She was predeceased by her sister Mary (Robert) Murphy and Frank (Ruth) Toolan, whom she had wonderful relationships with.
She leaves her sons: Stephen, of Smithfield and Anthony, of Johnston, whose lives are forever changed.
Her siblings: Margaret (Craig) Wardle of Coventry, and John (Lynette) Toolan of Narragansett.
Her 4 grandchildren who were her 'sunshine.' Allison (Dylan) Perron of Johnston, Stephen Pennine Jr of Palm Harbor FL, Nicholas Pennine of Smithfield, and Marc Pennine of Johnston. They were her world.
She also had many nieces and nephews who spent time with her regularly, all have wonderful memories of Aunt Pat.
Services are private, and visitation is omitted.
