It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia (Dreyer) Petrone, who left this world on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, surrounded by the love she gave so freely to everyone in her life. She was 58 years old, a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and guiding light to all who knew her. Patti was a proud graduate of Villanova University and Upper Darby High School.
Patti’s love for her family knew no bounds. Rick, her best friend and confidant, was the love of her life. Her three daughters – Lauren, Jordan, and Brooke – were her pride, her joy, and her entire world. Her grandbabies, Charlie, Lucas, and Ella, were the lights of her life, and it brought her so much happiness being their ‘Grammie’. And her triplet sisters, Helen and Fran, shared an innate understanding and indescribable bond.
Patti’s happy place was the beach – whether she was walking along the shoreline with Rick, having a dance party with her family, cooking a delicious (yet nutritious) meal to her favorite songs, meditating, or enjoying a peaceful sunset. She would be sure to greet with you her two-handed wave and a hug that instantly made you feel at home. You would leave any conversation you had with Patti surrounded by love.
Patti was a healer, a teacher, and an inspiration to everyone whose path she crossed. She was authentically herself – intelligent, feisty, hilarious, thoughtful, fun, loving, warm, and undeniably beautiful inside and out. Her strength and love of life was inspiring. She made us all want to be the best versions of ourselves. We know she’ll be in every beautiful sunset, a butterfly flying by, the ocean breeze, a beloved song, and at the end of every rainbow. Patti, you are our Miracle on Sunset.
Patti is survived by her husband, Rick Petrone; daughters, Lauren (Pete), Jordan, and Brooke; grandchildren, Charlotte, Lucas, and Ella; siblings, Margaret (Edmund), Regina (Frank), William, Joseph (Ann), Thomas, Kathryn (Kevin), Helen (Patrick), Frances (Barry), and so many nieces and nephews who will carry her love and memory forward every day. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Regina (Eells) Dreyer.
A funeral service celebrating her beautiful life will be held 11:30 AM on Monday, November 4, 2024, at St. Simon & Jude in West Chester, PA. A visitation will be held at Donohue Funeral Home from 8:30-11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Penn State Dance Marathon (THON) benefitting pediatric cancer at https://do.nr/h1qww2ew.
