Patricia Ann Pockrus, 82, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on Monday October 14, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ranger church of Christ officiated by Darroll Wright. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Stephens County, Texas. A visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home Ranger from 5:00P.M. until 7:00P.M., Thursday October 17, 2024.
Pat was born on March 27, 1942 in Lawton, OK to Arlin L. "Red" Alldredge and Anga Nell Hallmark Alldredge. She graduated from Thomasville High School in West Plains, MO and Draughn's Business School. She married Billy Jack Pockrus in Ft. Worth, Tx on February 21, 1962.
She worked at Walnut St. Clinic in Ranger from July 1967 until August 2016. She later worked for Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger. She was a member of the Mesquite & Rusk Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Billy Jack on March 23, 2008. She loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren, just talking and telling stories of the past. She loved to fish and be outdoors. She was very talented in sewing and crocheting, and was an amazing cook.
Survivors include a son, Shane Pockrus and Robin Gwinn; a daughter, Angela Underwood and Dannie Fossett; sisters, Judy Layfield and Sandy Barnes and Bruce; a brother, Eddie Alldredge and Madonna. She was lovingly known as "Memaw" to grandchildren, Kody Pockrus and Stephanie, Matt Underwood and Bailee, Tyson Underwood and Hannah, Felicity Curry, Jamey Curry, Owen Curry and Madalyn, and Orin Curry; great-grandchildren, Aadi, Talan, Bella, and Mari; and several nieces and nephews.
