Patricia Ramundo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by George M. Holt Funeral Home on Mar. 29, 2026.
Patricia M. Ramundo (née Oldfield) of Garnerville entered eternal rest on March 26, 2026, after a brief illness. She was 73 years old.

Known to everyone as Patty, she was born on April 3, 1952, in Suffern, New York, to John and Veronica (Kapuscinski) Oldfield. Patty was a graduate of Albertus Magnus High School and Berkeley Business School. Throughout her career, she held several management positions. Prior to her retirement, she served as Office Manager for New York State Senator Thomas P. Morahan, a role she truly enjoyed.

Patty was deeply devoted to her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. She was known to all as a wonderful cook and baker. Her lasagna and nut rolls were staples during the holidays. Patty cherished teaching her great-niece, Gina, how to bake Christmas cookies to carry on the family tradition. She lovingly cooked Saturday dinners for her great-nephew, Ryan, picking up where his grandmother left off. She also loved entertaining during the summer months, especially poolside. The Ramundo Fourth of July parties were enjoyed by family and friends for many years.

Patty loved vacations to Ortley Beach, Las Vegas, and many trips to Atlantic City over the years. Anyone who knew Patty knew that her favorite pastime was attending Barry Manilow concerts. She never missed an opportunity to see him perform.

Patty is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 49 years, John Francis Ramundo; her beloved and beautiful daughter, Laura; and her only and beloved brother, John Oldfield. She is also survived by her extended family, including her brothers-in-law Michael Burns and Robert Ramundo; her sisters-in-law Eileen McKenna (Mike) and Lisa Ramundo; her niece Sherry (Brian) Walsh; many nieces and nephews; and her two great loves, Ryan and Gina Walsh. She was predeceased by her sisters-in-law Betty Ann Burns and Marita (Chris) Buffone.

Cremation will be private. A Graveside Service will take place at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 220 Brick Church Road, New Hempstead, NY 10977, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Patricia's name to Hi-Tor Animal Care Center in Pomona, New York, or American Legion Leo Laders Post 130 in Thiells, New York.
