Rumford - Patricia Ann (Crowshaw) Richardson,69, affectionately known as Pat to her loved ones, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at RI Hospital in Providence. Born on August 24, 1956, in Providence, Rhode Island, Pat was the cherished daughter of the late James E. and Rosella K. (Dwyer) Crowshaw and the beloved wife of the late John Richardson. She was a loving sister to James C. Crowshaw of Rumford.
Pat dedicated over 18 years of her life to caring for others as a dental assistant, working alongside Dr. Paul J. Roque, D.D.S., where her gentle touch and warm smile comforted countless patients. Her commitment to her community was evident in her active involvement as a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church, where she served with grace and devotion.
A long-time resident of Rumford, having spent more than four years there after moving from Pawtucket, Pat was known for her love of knitting, a skill she wielded with as much precision and care as she did with everything in her life. Pat's hands were rarely still, as she created beautiful knitted pieces that were both works of art and expressions of her love.
Family was the cornerstone of Pat's life. She was a pillar of strength, support, and love for her family, always there with a listening ear and a heart ready to give. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy during family gatherings, and the memories created during these times will be treasured forever.
Those who knew Pat would describe her as loving, generous, and thoughtful. She possessed a quiet strength and a generosity of spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her. Pat's thoughtfulness extended beyond her immediate circle, as she often reached out to help others in need, always without seeking recognition or praise.
As we say goodbye to Patricia Ann Richardson, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering care for her family and community will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. Pat's memory will be held dear in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were graced by her presence.
We take solace in knowing that Pat is now reunited with her beloved husband and parents. Her spirit, a beacon of love and generosity, will continue to guide us. Pat's life was a testament to the beauty and resilience of the human spirit, and her memory will be cherished forever.
As we honor Patricia Ann (Crowshaw) Richardson, we reflect on the blessings she brought into our lives and the warmth she shared so freely. She will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love and selflessness will never be forgotten.
