Patricia Rosato Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by W.C. Brady’s Sons, Inc Funeral Home on Feb. 5, 2026.
Patricia A. Rosato, lovingly known as Tricia, was born on October 12, 1973, in Catskill, New York, the daughter of Mary (Costello) Hulihan and John N. Rosato. She passed away suddenly at her home on February 5th.

Tricia graduated from Coxsackie-Athens Central School in 1991. Even as a little girl, it was clear she had a creative spirit. She loved "doing" hair on her dolls, as well as on anyone patient enough to sit still for her. That childhood passion grew and she went on to attend Colonna Beauty School where she earned her cosmetology license.

Her fondness for her beloved cats, Tilly and Tigi, was well known to all who knew her. She enjoyed playing games, especially cards (both in person and online), and loved getting lost in a good book. Among her favorite authors were Stephen King and Karen Rose.

More than anything, Tricia loved her family. She spoke often and proudly of those she loved, especially her niece and goddaughter, Silvi, her "Sunshine." Silvi was the light of her life, and Tricia talked about her every single day. She treasured her role as godmother and took it to heart in a quiet but meaningful way.

Tricia cherished long, in-depth conversations and email exchanges with her Uncle Paul about family history and religion, something many people may not have known. She was deeply committed to strengthening her knowledge of her Catholic faith. As Silvi's proud Godmother, she often said she wanted to continue learning so she would be fully prepared to share her faith and wisdom with her when she grew older.

In later years, Tricia quietly faced significant medical challenges that limited her ability to participate in certain activities and special occasions, though she carried these burdens privately and with strength.

Tricia was predeceased by her grandparents, Paul and Audrey Costello, and Eva and Nick Rosato; her step-grandparents, Virginia and Robert Hulihan; her stepfather, Bob Hulihan; and her aunts and uncles, Paul and Sandra Costello, and Peggy and Lenny Prostler.

She is survived by her mother, Mary (Costello) Hulihan; her father, John (Mary Ellen) Rosato; her brother, Marty (Kristi) Rosato; her stepbrother, Jason Yurek; and her beloved niece and goddaughter, Silvi. She is also survived by many cousins, great-aunts, and great-uncles.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tricia's life on May 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the QWL Building in Coxsackie, New York.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia's memory to The Logan Strong Foundation, P.O. Box 2168, Scotia, NY 12302.

I was Trish's neighbor at Mansion square Apts, I nicknamed her "T" for short, she and I had many laughs and our digiornos pizza dinner dates, and laughed at all the funny jokes we shared, we swapped recipes, she nicknamed my apt, "THE TROPICAL RAINFOREST " due to all my artificial plants, yes, many fun and good times and memories we're made. She had a great personality, and loved the holidays. May God bless her family and comfort them.
