Patricia Ann Sauro November 28, 1932 – October 6, 2024
Patricia Ann (Rasmussen) Sauro, known as Pat, died peacefully in Mt. Kisco, NY following a brief illness. She was 91.
Born in New Rochelle, NY on November 28, 1932 to Harry and Josephine (Buderman) Rasmussen, she graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1950.
She married her beloved husband, Dan Sauro in 1953, welcoming three sons and remaining happily married for the next 67 years until his passing in 2020.
More than anything, Pat loved being a wife, homemaker and mother. In addition, she worked for many years at Omega Lithographers, Inc. the family business based in Mt. Vernon, NY.
Pat also gave generously of her time volunteering at the Dumont Nursing Home in New Rochelle and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation in Elmsford.
She was an avid bowler both in New Rochelle and Poughkeepsie, where she and Dan lived for a time, participating in co-ed leagues along with her husband.
Pat was predeceased by her parents as well as her siblings Harry, Jr., Joseph, Carol Belton and Linda Bouchard.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel, Jr. (William O'Donnell) of St. Michaels, MD, Steven (Sabrina C. Calandra) of New Rochelle, NY and Robert (Lynn Sauro), of Bedford Corners, NY, her beloved grandchildren Taylor Benedict (Michael), and Jordan Sauro, her adored great-granddaughter, Ryan, sister-in-law Maryann Sauro and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 4:00 – 8:00 pm, at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle, NY.
A funeral mass will follow on Saturday morning, October 12 at 9:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 15 Shea Place, New Rochelle, NY.
