Patricia Joan Shaw

Patricia Joan "Pat" Shaw, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.

Pat was born on Nov. 26, 1945, in Salem, OH to the late Harold Wilmer and Mary "Joanna" (Bachman) Eddy and graduated from Salem Senior High and later from Ashland College with a degree in accounting. While at Ashland College she met and later married Harley Robert Shaw and made her home near Fredericksburg where she had worked at Wayne County National Bank as well as on the family farm. Pat was a member of Fredericksburg Church of Christ, was a Red Cross Bloodmobile volunteer for 35 years and served with the Holmes County Volunteer Guardianship Program for 17 years. Pat enjoyed reading, traveling, going on walks in the woods especially with her granddaughters, completing crossword puzzles in ink and mowing the grass to maintain her beautiful tan. Pat was a true servant to her family, her community and her Lord.

Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Jodie Shaw; her granddaughters, Riley and Mimi and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lindsey and Bill Kohlenberg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2023 and her parents.

Graveside services were held to celebrate Pat's life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH or to a charity of your choice. Murray Funeral Home handled arrangements.
