Mrs. Patricia Ann Stone, age 74 years old, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, at her home in Pearson, Ga. following an extended illness. She was born in Homerville, Ga. on August 14, 1949, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall and Vida Pearl Stalvey. Mrs. Stone made her home in Pearson over the past thirty years, where she enjoyed being a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, working in her yard, growing beautiful flowers, and could often be found sitting on her porch or riding on the golf cart. Mrs. Stone loved all these things because it brought joy and happiness to her, and she knew that loving and spending time with her grands and great-grands were the happiest times of her life. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her dad; Nicholas Stalvey, 2 grandsons; Allen Hancock and Vince Underwood, and her granddaughter; Ashley Underwood.
Survivors include:
Husband: Ervin Stone of Pearson, Ga.
Son: Chip Hancock and wife Dana of Pearson, Ga.
2 Daughters: Susie Shelinsky and husband Robert of Concord, N.C.
Tammy Kirkland and husband Matthew of Pearson, Ga.
2 Brothers: David Stalvey and wife Paulette of Homerville, Ga.
Buddy Stalvey of Thomasville, Ga.
Sister: Marsha Stabler of Homerville, Ga.
7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stone were held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. J.A. Anderson officiating. Special musical selections included, “Jealous of the Angels” and “I Can Only Imagine” both rendered cd. The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were: Dustin Underwood, Dawson Bussey, Logan Heath, Anthony Funderburk, Devin Bennett, and Buddy Taft. Honorary pallbearers included Randall Bennett and Gage O’Brien.
Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
