Patricia J. (Desimone) Strausbaugh, age 76, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025. Born on November 27, 1948, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, Patricia was the daughter of the late Patsy and Irene (Popp) Desimone. She grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, and was a proud graduate of East High School, Class of 1967.
Patricia dedicated over 20 years of her career to Midas, where she worked diligently until the company's closing. Known for her spirited nature and deep love for her family, Patricia's greatest joy in life came from her children and grandchildren. She often said they were the most important thing in the world, and she meant it with all her heart. Nothing made her prouder than cheering for her granddaughters at cheerleading and softball events. She never missed a chance to support them and be their biggest fan.
A woman of strong faith, Patricia was a longtime member of St. Rose Catholic Church and, for the past decade, a devoted member of St. John XXIII Catholic Church. Her faith and community were important pillars in her life.
Patricia was always ready to have fun, especially when with friends and family. She filled every gathering with joy and laughter. She looked forward to her yearly trips to Myrtle Beach, loved shopping, and treasured the simple moments spent with her loved ones.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Stephanie (Corey) Bond; stepchildren, Patrick (Jenni) Strausbaugh, Heather (Terry) Shupe, Katie (Troy) Gulgin, and Jeremy (Brittany) Strausbaugh. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Aryana and Adisynne Bond; her brothers, Patrick (Patty) Desimone and Michael Desimone; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Patsy and Irene Desimone.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551, with a Memorial Service to follow.
