Patricia Jo Thomas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on July 16, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on February 18, 1939, in Xenia, Ohio, Patricia’s life was characterized by warmth, compassion, and an irreplaceable sense of humor that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Patricia dedicated over 50 years of her life as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a calling that showcased her kindness and dedication to caring for others. Graduating from Xenia Central High School in 1957 and furthering her education at Bethesda Nursing School, she established a career that not only enriched her life but also profoundly touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues.

Throughout her life, Patricia embraced the joy of family and the beauty of adventure. She often found herself traveling with her loving husband of 62 years, Alan "Roy" Thomas, and their two children, James (Marina) Thomas and Jennifer (Jeff) Fischer. Family gatherings were a source of endless joy, and Patricia took great pride in her grandchildren Eric (April) Fischer, Ryan (Ashley) Fischer, Joshua (Katie) Cousins, Megan Fischer, Cory Thomas, Ilya Silusar, and Vlada Thomas. Her legacy continued to grow with her great-grandchildren Kohen Fischer, Kamden Cousins, Breck Fischer, Ari Cousins, Isabella Fischer, and Olivia Fischer, each of whom brought remarkable happiness into her life.

A woman of many interests, Patricia loved to "boogie", read fiction novels, and bake— her pies being heralded as the best in the world. Known affectionately as a backseat driver, her loving spirit and humor would fill every road trip with laughter and cherished memories. With siblings Michael Masters, Mary Hadnott, and Anthony Masters, along with multiple nieces, nephews, and friends, Patricia’s connections were deep and meaningful, further reflecting her kind and loving nature.

Patricia's proudest accomplishments included nurturing a close-knit family, creating lasting memories, and even the steadfast endurance of putting up with Roy for 62 years—a testament to her loving and giving personality. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Martha Masters, and her brother George Masters, who together shaped the foundation upon which Patricia built her beautiful life.

A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio, on July 25, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. In this space of love and remembrance, those who knew and cherished Patricia will gather to honor a remarkable woman whose light and legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. The world has lost a truly special soul, but her spirit will live on in the laughter and love of those she left behind.
