Stanley Frederick "Bud" Fichtner Jr., age 70, of Xenia, passed away December 4, 2025. Stanley was born in the Catskills Mountains in New York on August 7, 1955 to Stanley Sr. and Lola Fichtner.
Stanley was preceded in death by his mother, Lola Fichtner; step-daughter, Crystal McNichols; as well as his step-son, Michael Pummill.
He is survived by wife of 16 years, Patricia "Pattie" Fichtner; father, Stanley Fichtner Sr.; son, Matthew (Jennifer) Fichtner; first wife, Nancy Fichtner; granddaughter, Lyla Fichtner; step-grandsons, James McNichols Jr., Cole Howland, Paul Howland and Brenton Howland; extended family, Eleanor and her daughters, Jane and Judy; special friends, James McNichols, Larry Lintz and Neil Thompson; as well as many, many AA sobriety friends.
Stanley retired from Ram Restoration/Airway Construction as a carpenter after approximately 40 years. He was a member of several sobriety groups for 13 years. Stanley was also a member of AHOP Church in Xenia.
In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to AA meetings and spending time with his friends and family.
Stanley was a loving, kind and gentle man. He helped many people as a Sponsor in AA. Stanley was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stanley's memory to the American Cancer Society.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at AHOP Church at a later date.
