Patricia Ann Trent, a beloved member of her community and a cherished family member, passed away at the age of 59 on May 8, 2025, in Athens, Georgia. Born on May 16, 1965, in Harvey, Illinois, Patricia lit up the lives of those around her with her warmth and dedication.
Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving father, Lloyd Pence; her husband, Jeffery Wayne Trent; her daughter, Deidra Minish; and her brother, Steven Pence. She took great joy in her role as a grandmother to Shay Sonoda (Mori), Kaysin White, Hunter White, Ian Minish, and Norman Manders. Additionally, she adored her great-grandchildren, Harlan Sonoda and Dakota Mealor.
Patricia's memory will also be treasured by many friends and loved ones who were blessed to know her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Eliza Stacy Pence; her son, Michael Jeffery Trent; and her brother, Anthony Ray Pence.
Throughout her life, Patricia touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Ivie Funeral Home on Tuesday May 13th from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM in the chapel.
