Patricia Waldrop Obituary

October 31, 1947 – August 15, 2025
Saint Augustine - Patricia Eileen Waldrop, born on October 31, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, took her last breath in the arms of her loving daughter on August 15, 2025, in St. Augustine, Florida. After a long illness and courageous battle, she entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven.
Patricia will forever be remembered for her boundless love of life and, most of all, her devotion to her children.
One of her greatest dreams was to become a mother, a dream fulfilled in the blessing of her three children: Tracy Lynn, Jamie Susan, and Bradley Douglas. When she married James (Ranny) Randall Waldrop on June 18, 1977, she embraced three more children - Robin (Rene), Tammy, and Kimberly – pouring her heart into her growing family.
Patricia was a woman of many gifts and passions. She owned and operated "Pat's Beauty Shop" in the back of her house in Satsuma, Florida and explored countless creative endeavors. An avid beekeeper, crocheter, gardener, seamstress, cook, crafter, and reader, she approached life with curiosity and joy. She was also a faithful supporter of "A Women's Resource" in Palatka, Florida and "Samaritan's Purse" and gave generously to animal rescues, living out her love for both people and animals alike.
She is survived by her children: Tracy Inman (Randy), Jamie Sanchez (Regent St-Onge),Bradley Waldrop, Rene Huff, and Tammy Hurst (Ray); her devoted cat, Kitty; her grandchildren: Joshua Bryant (Maddy), Noah Bryant (Amy), Cassady Anderson (Andrew), Brittany Sanchez, Hailey Sanchez, Christopher Dearth (Lois), Eric Dearth, Toni Titus (Roland), Laura Blevins, Jessica Warren; and many great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her sisters, Carol Barrows Walton and Melodie Barrows Ferrell; and her brother, John Barrows.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James Randall Waldrop; a daughter, Kimberly Hope Waldrop; mother, Patricia Hatcher; her siblings, Sandy Barrows Thivener, Larry Fuller, and Donald Barrows; and her beloved pets, Maggie and Jazz.
She was a faithful member of Francis Baptist Church, where she nurtured her relationship with Christ and her community.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia's memory to Ayla's Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue (https://aylasacres.org) or to Community Hospice Center.
Fly high with the angels, Momma.
You will be forever loved and deeply missed.

The treasures I will hold dear to me are the childhood memories of spending time at your home, when I spent the night with Tracy. You Always made it fun. Then when I became an adult and would see you in a random public place, the beautiful smile you had as we reminisced about the good times. Then I had the privilege of being your nurse a few times. My joy is knowing that you now have a new body! . ..........Chandra

My beautiful mother, you loved me my entire life and I will love you for the rest of mine. I feel an emense emptiness since you left and I treasure every memory we ever shared and I will long for the ones we will never get to make, I look for you in the calmness of the sky, and the breeze across my face and when i sleep I hope to catch a glimpse of you in my dreams. Rest easy momma, you are no longer in pain. Fly high with the angels I love you big...until we meet again you're baby girl. Jamie
