Patricia Ann Wambold, affectionately known as Pat, was born on March 2, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois. She passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
A graduate of Arcade High School in New York, Pat embarked on a fulfilling career as a longtime administrative assistant at Dayton Christian Schools. Her commitment and diligence in her profession were evident throughout her career, shaping the lives of many students and staff members.
Pat was greatly admired for her loving and kind spirit. Known for her outgoing personality, she thrived in the company of others and was dedicated to her family. Her faith and her relationship with Jesus were central to her daily life, guiding her through challenges and enriching her relationships.
Her hobbies included a passion for sewing and quilting, which she pursued with great enthusiasm. Pat found immense joy in spending quality time with her granddaughter, creating memories that will forever be cherished by those she loved.
Pat’s proudest accomplishment was her enduring marriage to her husband, Chuck, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years together, having wed on May 9, 1970. She leaves behind her loving husband, along with her sons, John (Dawn) Wambold, Eric Wambold, and granddaughter, Megan Wambold. Pat is also survived by her siblings, James Luscher, Brian Luscher, Mark Luscher, and Sheila (David) Bright.
In addition to her family, Pat valued her friendships deeply, maintaining special bonds with Carolyn Phillips and Patsy Harris over the years. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Luscher; her father, James Luscher; her stepmother, Helen Luscher, as well as her cousin, Christine Hazeltine.
Pat will be fondly remembered for her generous heart, vibrant spirit, and the positive impact she had on the lives of many. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at First Baptist Church West Carrollton, 705 South Elm Street. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
