Patricia O’Dell Watts (Penn) was born to Adelia Mae Ferguson Penn and George Dennis Penn Sr. Patricia was born on May 27, 1953, in Lynchburg, VA. She resided in Madison heights, VA. Patricia retired from The Lynchburg Detention Center around 10 years ago. She had a love of dolphins, music, game shows and a GOOD plate of ribs. Patricia departed this world on October 3, 2024, at 11:10a at Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA surrounded by her daughter’s. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother: Adelia Mae Ferguson Penn; her father: George Dennis Penn Sr; her sisters: Carol Ann Sorrells and Consuelo Tabb; and her brothers: George Dennis Penn Jr. and Kenneth Maurise Penn, Sr. (Debra Penn); and her grand puppy: Roscoe Rexford Watts I.
Patricia is survived by her two children: Demetrice LaVerne Watts and Candice Marie Watts (Sanya Whitley-Watts); Grand puppies: Dexter Mordeci Brick Whitley-Watts and Dakuna Moxy Penn Whitley-Watts; Sister: Laverne Haskins (Ron) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; Brothers: Wayne Penn (Janice) of Rustburg, VA; Samuel Penn (Shelby) of Madison Heights, VA and George Napier (Susie) of Lynchburg, VA.; four loving aunts: Maxine, Dorothy, and Bootsie; One Uncle, Elmer; a host of devoted and loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; a very special friend: Garland W Brown Jr.; children at heart: Genevi Phillips (Taylor), Gus Watts, Ashley Robinette, and Chance Kearns (Rachel); and grandchildren at heart: Miya Billingslea, Nyelle Russell, Nolan Woods, Dehn Glenn, and Mckynlee Woods.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00pm, Saturday October 12, 2024, at Scott Zion Baptist Church, Madison Heights, VA. Flowers/living plants and memorial gifts are welcome, but not necessary.
