Patricia "Patti" B. White, age 100, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at her home in Gulfport.
Patti was born on October 14, 1925, in Booneville, MS to the late Dr. and Mrs. John T. Barrett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Knox White; daughter, Gloria White; her parents; sisters, Gloria Reese and Joan Roosa; and brother, John T. Barrett.
Patti was a gracious southern lady and our steel magnolia. We were privileged to be her children. She was involved n her five children’s activities as well as being an avid golfer. She was active in Revelers where she served as president and was a charter member of Four Seasons Garden Club. She enjoyed her time with friends playing bridge.
Patti met Knox White while a student at Ole Miss. They were married in 1946.
Patti is survived by her children, Janet White of Gulfport, Julia Swetland of Oxford, Patricia Horn (Ralph) of Memphis, and Doug White (Libby) of Madison. She had seven grandchildren, Melissa Swetland, Hallie Swetland Battle (Bubba), Tyler Horn (Kelly), Maggie Horn, Christina White Adams (Clay), Julienne White Weldy (Thomas), and Deke White. Patti also had eight great-grandchildren, Katie Battle, Beau Battle, Landry Adams, Mary Mac Adams, Ellis Adams, Noble Adams, Annalise Weldy, and William Weldy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport. Visitation will be at the church one-hour prior to the Mass. A private family burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the family of Patricia "Patti" B. White.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
