Patricia Wolfe Obituary
Patricia 'Pat' Wolfe, a passionate educator, passed away on December 19, 2025, with family and close friends by her side. At 91, she is remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, teacher and pioneer in the field of brain-based education.
A native of Missouri, Pat dedicated her life to understanding how people learn, and to equipping educators with that knowledge to transform their classrooms. Her career literally spanned decades and continents.
A Napa Valley resident for over 40 years, Pat was active in church, community endeavors, charities, professional organizations and served on numerous boards. She cherished her family above all else, and spent her 'retirement' years at The Meadows of Napa Valley, surrounded by a beautiful community.
Pat leaves behind a daughter, Andria Taylor, a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Terri Wolfe, and grandchildren, Kyra and Alex, who brought her immense joy.
To all those who knew Pat, she will be remembered most for her warmth, curiosity, humor and an unwavering commitment to education.

Pat Wolfe was a positive influence on everyone she came into contact with--friends, students, fellow educators and just people!~! She was a positive force in all that she did, not only by offering an ear to listen but excellent feedback when asked. And she knew so much---- from common sense answers to the latest thoughts from research based studies. She was a cherished friend, dedicated educator and an all around great person. And as such, she shall be remembered.

Pat had an extraordinary influence on my personal and professional lives. I was so honored to be in a group from Batavia Illinois (The Brainy Bunch) who studied with Pat for a number of years. "They don´t learn with their livers" was her response to her probing question about why we had registered for our first meeting with her. Pat´s sense of humor enhanced her teaching in unique ways.
My husband and I were so honored to host Pat at our home when she was the keynote speaker at one of Batavia School´s opening day ceremonies. So many of my colleagues commented after her presentation that it was the best one they had ever attended.
Pat´s legacy lives on through the hundreds of educators who learned from her.
