Patrick Anderson Obituary

Patrick Emil Anderson, age 67, passed away on January 3, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born August 26, 1958, in Muskegon, MI to J. Arthur and Maryann (Oakleaf) Anderson.
After high school, he served in the Army and later went to work for the road commission before taking ownership of Don's Tackle. On November 2, 1984, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Ruegsegger, and they spent 41 years together making many memories.
Patrick enjoyed Euchre and would play every week at the Fruitport Eagles. He also loved to hunt and fish. He spent many summer days on the pond with his grandchildren fishing. He was a proud member of Michigan Anglers Association and Sons of American Legion through Algot Johnson Post 69 out of Whitehall.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bonnie; two children, Rebecca (Cory) Goodrich, Samantha Anderson (Brandon Bonneau); five grandchildren, Oliver, Braydon, Spencer, Caleb and Emilie; and his sister, Ilene (Freddie) Nichols. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Dohnal; and twin brother, Michael Anderson.
Memorial contributions can be made in his name to K9 Jaeger Foundation or the American Legion Algot Johnson Post SAL.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Ravenna American Legion, 3590 Conklin St., Ravenna, MI 49451. Arrangements made by The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.

Pat was an amazing man my fathers best friend and my brothers Boss. He was apart of my family the memories we shared at the American Legion in the Muskegon Heights, Michigan Anglers Association, Sportsmen for youth day to breakfast at Whitlows the corner both. To cozy corners and let's not forget the Station. The talks we would have about fishing and just life in general. I am so glad that you have been apart of my life and my family's life and most of all my Dad's best friend the laughs we had. My condolences to the family losing a husband, a father, a brother and a grandfather is very hard. I know he is in heaven fishing with my father

Pat was a great brother in law!! I loved his sense of humor, his knowledge of fishing and hunting and just hanging out with him, although we did not get to do that very often. He loved his family and spending time with all of them. He will be very missed but never never forgotten!
