John Blease, 64, of Fruitport, Michigan, passed away with family surrounding him on December 27, 2025.
Born on November 18, 1961, in Grand Haven, Michigan, to Kenneth and Linda Blease, John cherished time with family, loved animals, and had a deep love of God. He was a journeyman electrician who traveled the country working for the IBEW Union, supporting his family through his dedication. John was also a handyman and jack of all trades, always ready to lend a hand. He generously volunteered for his church and helped friends with their projects, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
John is lovingly remembered by his wife, JoAnn Blease; his children, Joel Blease and Elizabeth Blease; his grandchild, Natasha; his dog, Buddy; his brothers, Jeffrey Blease and Doug Blease (Lisa); and his sister, Candace Blease (Angi Heath). He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Linda Blease. Family, friends, and community will remember him for his unwavering dedication to providing for his family, taking care of his home, working on his vehicles and machinery, and his love of traveling the country, especially visiting national and state parks.
A celebration of John's life will be held on January 23, 2026, at 1:30 pm at Calvary Church in Fruitport, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission to honor his memory.
