Patrick Bouzan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Easton on Dec. 9, 2025.
Patrick (Jim) James Bouzan - (October 26, 1953 – December 6, 2025)
Patrick (Jim) James Bouzan, 72, of Taunton, passed away peacefully at Morton Hospital on December 6, 2025, surrounded by family. Jim was the loving husband of the late Elaine (Afarian) Bouzan, with whom he shared many years of love.
Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late James L. Bouzan and Frances E. (Crawford) Bouzan.
A 1972 graduate of Brockton High School, he was a proud member of the football team, where he discovered a lifelong love for the sport. His passion and talent on the field carried him beyond high school, as he went on to play in the semi-professional league in Weymouth.
After graduating, Patrick worked alongside his father at G&H Poultry, where he developed the strong work ethic that defined his life. He later embraced entrepreneurship, opening his own businesses in antiques and electronics. Patrick ultimately found his long-term professional career at Preferred Freezers, where he was Vice President of Operations.
Jim will be remembered for his love of family, his sense of humor, and the way he brought people together. He was always the life of the party-quick with a joke, a smile, or a story that lifted the room. And his famous "backing talkwards," a talent no one ever quite understood, never failed to make people laugh and shake their heads in amazement.
He is survived by his loving son, James Leo Bouzan of Taunton; brother Bryan Bouzan of Plymouth; his sister Nancy Flanagan and her husband, Michael Flanagan, of Plymouth; many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, and several friends whom he considered family.
Visiting hours for Jim will be held at the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte 138) Easton on Wednesday, December 17th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
