Patrick Buratti Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brusco-Napier Funeral Service Ltd. on Jan. 31, 2025.
Age 80, of Kennedy Township, formerly of Sheraden, on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth (Acciaroli) Buratti. Loving father of LTC Michele L. Buratti RN, MSN, Chief Nurse, US Army and Dena M. (Mark Aloe) White. Proud pappy of Ellese M. White, Gabriella N. White, Sophia B. White, and Theresa M. White. Son of the late Nick and Mary Jane (Duff) Buratti. Brother of the late David Duff and Mary E. Buratti. Brother-in-law of John P. (Charlene) Acciaroli. Pat will be sadly missed by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Patrick attended Langley High School in Sheraden where he was honored as an all-city football player in 1963. In addition to football, Patrick was also a member of the baseball, basketball, and track and field team-still holding the shot put record. Patrick was offered 135 football scholarships, but ultimately chose to attend West Virginia University with his good friend Joe Taffoni. After being drafted to the Detroit Lions, he returned to Pittsburgh as a walk-on for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Following his football career, Patrick continued his athletic success setting the American powerlifting deadlift record in 2002 for the master division (ages 55-59) trained by Mike Mastrean, whom he held the utmost respect for. His competitive spirit led him to a path of entrepreneurship where he formed various businesses over the years. Patrick held many friendships, most notably with his lifelong friends Roger and Donna Pennine. He loved meeting up with the infamous "toppers": Johnny Seretti, Al Tarquinio, Frank Carbone, and Ron Crivelli-where it was more laugh than lunch. Patrick's biggest blessing and greatest love, by far, came with being a pappy to his four granddaughters.
Friends received on Tuesday, February 4th from 4 p.m. until time of Blessing Service at 6:30 p.m. at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE., LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Interment will be held privately.

RIP .. My Friend

What a Pistol of a Guy !

Always had a good time talking w/Pat when he would bring the cars in for service at that dealership.

I just stop in there today and heard the news that your service was today.

Since I retired, I did see him there a few times.

My condolences to Mary and the family

I have known and loved Uncle Pat (as I affectionately called him) since I was a little girl. My parents, Hal & Bev are going to take good care of you up there. Remembering Beto's pizza runs, BurChem Products and all of the laughs and love we shared as families. I'm at a loss for words to convey my sadness, but I have so many wonderful memories of his kind heart, generosity and sense of humor. RIP, Uncle Pat - you are loved and missed.
