Patrick Scott Chin, 28, of Glen Head, NY, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 23. He is survived by his parents Susan & Stephen, sister Sarah, grandparents Richard and Paul, Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Melissa, Aunt Diane and Uncle Kevin, Uncle Rick and cousins Kyle, Kayla, Katie, John & Chloe. A sweet, kind, intelligent and gentle soul, Patrick loved animals and children. He found purpose serving people in the healthcare industry; helping others was his joy and calling. His giggle was infectious, and he had an awesome, quirky sense of humor. Patrick had an innate sense of saying just the right thing to make others laugh and put them at ease, easily bringing joy to everyday circumstances and bringing happiness to anyone he met. He loved music and was an excellent musician, active in the high school band and Madrigal Choir. He played drums, guitar, and keyboard with his much-loved garage band, Los Plantanos. Patrick received a Regents Honors diploma from North Shore High School in 2014 and completed 36 credits in 2016 from Nassau Community College.
Patrick took great pride in his Chinese, Italian, German and Irish heritage and was studying Chinese language and culture. He loved all cuisines, and his appetite and big heart were open to trying any food.
Patrick is beloved by many, and leaves behind family, friends and coworkers while he joins his grandmothers Wen and Virginia in Heaven, and in God’s loving embrace.
