On October 14, 2025, Patrick Urban Clune of Bloomington, Indiana passed away from complications related to Parkinsons disease at the age of 76. Born on March 16, 1949, in Minster, Ohio, Patrick was the sixth of eight children born to Carl and Bernadine Clune. Graduating with a BS in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati in 1973, he began his career in public accounting at Geo. S. Olive & Co, CPAs, and Ernst & Whinney, CPAs in Indianapolis, IN. He went on to become the Chief Financial Officer at Boston Scientific, Spencer IN and ended his career as Controller at Worms Way, Inc. in Bloomington.
Patrick married JoAnn McClain on May 7, 1977, and together they raised their two sons, Colin and Jacob, and daughter, Hannah in Bloomington. An avid gardener, he loved designing his flower beds and his vegetable gardens. He raised chickens, pigs, sheep and turkeys while living on their small farm in Whitestown, IN. He also enjoyed cooking for and entertaining guests. Travel was important to both Patrick and JoAnn and their annual family trips were always mapped out in detail by him.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 48 years, JoAnn (McClain), sons Colin and Jacob, daughter Hannah Pittman (Jarred), sister Rose Ann Broermann, brothers Charles (Julie) and Carl Jr. (Paula). He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Clune, and mother, Bernadine (Seger) Clune, brothers Robert and Kenneth Clune, and sisters Rita Bensman and Constance Barhorst.
