Patrick Kay Codute, 28, passed away suddenly Friday, August 1, 2025. He was the beloved son of Tom and Alicia Codute and the brother and best friend of Colton. Born on November 13, 1996,
Patrick grew up in Orono, Minnesota. He attended Orono High School, where he played basketball and tennis. After graduating, he continued the family legacy as a fifth-generation graduate of the University of Nebraska, majoring in business.
Patrick had a passion for adventure and decided to move to Dallas, Texas where he spent time with friends, including his girlfriend Bella, who he adored. An avid sports fan, Patrick followed the Minnesota Vikings, Timberwolves and Dallas Stars. A fantasy football enthusiast, he ran and won multiple leagues each year.
He is now surrounded by his loving grandparents in heaven: Patrick and Helen (Peg) Codute and Kay and Sandra Harris.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Grace Church, 9301 Eden Prairie Road, Door #2, Eden Prairie, Minnesota 55347. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and there will be a reception to follow the service.
