Patrick J. Cooney, Jr., On Saturday July 6, 2024, we lost our sweet, kind, loving husband, dad and grandfather. He was born in Bloomfield on May 21, 1928 to Patrick and Mary Cooney. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers James, Matthew and Thomas Cooney. Dad is survived by his wife of 70 years, the love of his life, Jeanie and three loving daughters Joyce, Donna (Bob) and Patty (Steve), his nine grandchildren Kristen,Shawn,Erin and Lindsay Heinrich, Christy, Tim, Joseph, Shyann and Joel Stevens and his 15 great grandchildren. Also many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Dad was a proud Irishman and Army Veteran and a good kind man. a special thanks to Lori, Jessica and all other supporters from Monarch Hospice for their many kindnesses and loving care. Family and Friends are being received on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Leo J. Henney Funeral Home, 323 Second Avenue, Carnegie. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2023 at S.S. Simon & Jude Church of St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 1607 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh PA 15220 at 12 noon.
