Patrick H. Cray, 75 of Waverly passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Grove Health and Rehab in Jacksonville.
He was born December 5, 1948 in Pratt, KS; the son of William and Nora McCormick Cray.
Patrick married Kathy Bilski, they had two children and later divorced. He then married Donna Pitchford, they had two children and later divorced. He later married Carol Jones and she preceded him in death on August 25, 2012. Also, preceded in death by his son, Jim McIntire.
Patrick was a farmer and a truck driver and then at the age of 49 years old, he returned to college to earning his Masters in Civil Engineering. He then worked as a Civil Engineer for IDOT.
Surviving are his three children, Lori (Phil) Wernsing of Springfield, Nick Cray of Oak Harbor and Anita (Paul) Hayes of Waverly; 11 grandchildren; three siblings, Mike (Cindy) Cray, Joe (Judy) Cray and Mary Janet Cray; and a large extended family.
Visitation will be from 4pm till 7pm, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Bramley Funeral Home, 150 Reichert Rd, Divernon. Graveside services will be at 11am, Friday at Brush Creek Cemetery, Divernon with Rev. Josh Mangano officiating.
Memorials may be made to The James Project in Springfield.
