Patrick Delano Espinoza, long time resident of Bellwood, Il. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 14, 2025 at the Edward Hines, VA hospital. Son of Edna Affett-Reyes and Joseph Espinoza. Spouse of Gloria, Loving father of Carita Mari, Jolie DiAnn, Christopher Patrick and Erik Warren. Playful grandpa of Amani Mari, Brandin Luis, Keely Mari, Ceyanna Dashun and Evin Prado, Great grandpa of Adelina Mari. Loving brother of Cosmo and (Phyllis) (deceased), Joanne Weaver (deceased), Joseph Jr (deceased), David Reyes (deceased), Susan & Jake DeTreville, Mary Lynn Reyes, Kathleen and Jim Kelly, Elizabeth (Itsy) and Vince Vimarco, Margaret and Bobby Bray. Fond uncle to many. Born in Chicago Heights, Il and raised in Argo-Summit, Il. Attended Argo High School. Patrick joined the United States Air Force in 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1964 where he was stationed in Alaska as a fireman. Pat's passion for music as a drummer and singer lead him to play with many musicians during his music career. He played with various artists such as The Everly Bros, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Dr. Hook and more. Pat loved the Navy Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds. He enjoyed going to EAA/Oshkosh every year to watch the airplanes. He loved betting on the ponies and was a DIEHARD Cubs fan. He enjoyed being outside listening to the Cubs games on his headphones. He also enjoyed gardening and keeping busy while whistling and tapping his fingers to a tune. He will be greatly missed by so many who loved him so. Visitation Tuesday May 27, 2025 from 4-8 P.M. at Cappetta's West Suburban Funeral Home & Cremation Services 4920 Main St., Downers Grove.
