Patrick "Mouse" "JD" Joseph Hey died unexpectedly on August 11, 2025. Patrick was born to parents, Henry Louis and Patricia Ann (Irish) Hey on December 4, 1965. He was the youngest of nine children, some of whom would say he was the favorite, and he would agree. He grew up in the Duluth Heights area and graduated from Central High School in 1984. Patrick was a vibrant storyteller of family history, friends' shenanigans, and Vikings football facts. His greatest pride and accomplishments are his children, Micaila and Jakob. He loved his children, the Vikings, and cooking, possibly in that order. Patrick was an intelligent, hardworking man who was always willing to help his family and friends. He was full of humor and goodwill. He will be greatly missed.

Patrick is preceded in death by his daughter, Micaila Hey; parents, Henry and Patricia Hey; sister, Francis; and brothers, Frederick, George, Steven, and Daniel.

Patrick is survived by his son, Jakob (Andrea) Hey; sister, Barbara (Timothy) Jones; brothers John (Barbara) Hey and Gordon Hey; along with many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Sunrise Funeral Home and Calvary Cemetery.

To everyone who knew and loved Patrick, please join us in celebrating his life. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 22nd at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy (across from Menards in Hermantown), with service to follow at Noon.
