Pat lived half a mile up the road from me and we experienced caring for an orphan foal together after his mare died. Condolence to his family

I have many fun memories of Pat! I remember being maybe 5 years old and sitting on his lap while he let me steer his bright orange speed boat. What a thrill!!!
I remember being mesmerized by him burning sage in his basement.
I remember how his house smelled.
I remember putting up hay on his farm in my 20s. He worked ne hard, and we had a good time. He played a Bob Dylan album while work in the hay loft. Highway 61, what a great album to be turned onto to, thank you Pat! He payed me in tires once because he was worried about my safety.
I remember him playing his dulcimer for like 2hrs straight in my parent's office. It was great.
Rest easy.
