Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 1, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Patrick "Big Sweet" Lee Williams, 59, who passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Friday from 7:00 AM to 10:15 AM. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Friday.
Rev. George Bede Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery #2.
Patrick was born on June 4, 1964, in Lafayette to the late Gaston Williams, Sr. and Anna Matthews Williams. He was a family-oriented man who enjoyed horse betting, traveling, dancing, cooking, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.
Known to be the life of the party, he always found a way to put a smile on the faces of those around him. Patrick was a man whose loving spirit and smile touched the lives of many. He was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, and uncle who will be greatly missed by all those he knew and loved. His unwavering love and devotion to his family and friends was an inspiration to all.
He is survived by his daughters, Kailie and Hailie Williams; mother, Anna Matthews Williams; siblings, Gaston (Lisa) Williams, Jr., Christopher (Vanessa) Williams, Mark Williams, Carlton (Carolyn) Ledet, Genora (Christopher) Constantine, Shara Wiltz, Valarie (Willie) Sam, Tralissa Chevalier, Lisa (Joseph) John, and Garalyn Ngassa.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gaston Williams, Sr.; brothers, David Williams, Kenneth Williams ,Sr. and Germaine Williams; paternal grandparents, Amos and Matilda Williams; maternal grandparents, Eugene Matthews and Marita Sylvester; niece, Courtney Barber; sister-in-law, Rhonda Williams; and his aunt, Lydia Dalcourt.
Pallbearers will be Jerome Wiltz, Adrian Williams, Jr., Gaston Williams III, Joseph Sylvester, Sr., David Sylvester, Sr., and Kenneth Williams, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gaston Williams, Jr., Christopher Williams, Sr., Joe Barber, Mark Williams, Carlton Ledet, Brian Dalcourt, Donald Dalcourt, Bradley Randall, Denzel Hypolite and Chris Williams, Jr.
