Pat McCarthy, at age 73, of Shaler Township, formerly of Oil City, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, Pat was the beloved husband of Jan McCarthy; father of Bryon McCarthy (Selena), Shawn P. McCarthy (Nicole); son of the late Curt and Mary Ellen McCarthy; brother of Ellen Shoemaker (late Tom), Peggy Palm (Jerry), and the late Marrianne Quinn (surv. Bill), brother Mike McCarthy; grandfather of Joscelyn, Brennen, Ella, Sofia, Jameson, and Harper McCarthy; uncle of the late Kelly Palm, also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.
Pat was an avid golfer, gardener, and former champion diver at Oil City High School. He was the proud owner of McCarthy Buick- Pontiac in Franklin PA. His greatest accomplishment in life was the love of his family and friends.
Celebrate Pat’s life with his family on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at PERMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Shaler Twp. where Services will be held on Friday at 12:30 PM. The family respectfully suggests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association-Greater Pittsburgh Office, 2835 E Carson St Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
