Patrick Lee McElhiney

Patrick Lee McElhiney, 46, of Charlotte, NC passed away March 25, 2025. Born December 7, 1978 in Norfolk, VA, he is survived by his mother Barbara Reid (Scott); father Michael McElhiney (Holly); brother Brent McElhiney; sister Kelly Bennett (Chris); nephews Evan, Dillon, Brayden, and Logan; nieces Hailey and Camryn; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who deeply loved him.
Patrick was a graduate of Churchland High School in Portsmouth, VA and attended Tidewater Community College where he received an associate's degree in culinary arts. He loved cooking, fishing, skiing, scuba diving, music and brewing beer, however, his greatest passion was spending time with friends and family and being a dog dad to his beloved Yorkie Midnight. Also, a sport enthusiast, he was a diehard Yankees and Manchester United fan. Patrick was passionate about mentoring others at NA meetings. He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, kind smile, and willingness to help others.
