Patrick Lawrence "Larry" Moore, age 78, passed away suddenly Friday, July 12, 2024. He was born October 4, 1945, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, a son of the late Stanley and Marie (Burke) Moore and his special mother Elizabeth "Betty" Moore.
On August 21, 1970, in St. Catharines, he was united in marriage to Catherine Joan Tiffney, who preceded him in death on November 22, 2017.
Larry refereed hockey in Thorold and the surrounding area spanning five decades. Larry was an avid golfer, spending much of his time playing golf with his buddies as well as working in his retirement as a greeter and starter at the Rockway Glen Golf Course in the Niagara Region.
He was a loving father to Lawrence "Larry" David Moore, a devoted grandfather and best friend to Marshall and Cameron Moore. He is also survived by his sisters, Judy Moore and husband Larry Horhota and Wendy and husband Dan Simoneau as well as many other relatives and his tight group of loyal friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard "Rick/Dick" Moore and sister, Marilyn Baird.
He will be missed by all those he touched throughout his life. He was truly one of a kind.
There are no services planned.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
