Patrick Navin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels & Cremation Services on Jan. 10, 2026.
Patrick J. Navin, Jr., 94, of Enfield, CT, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, surrounded by his family.

Born on September 9, 1931, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Patrick was the son of the late Patrick J. Navin, Sr. and Dorothy (Virginis) Navin. He grew up in Wilkes-Barre and was a proud graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township High School, Class of 1949.

Patrick married the love of his life, Nancy Evans, on July 1, 1967. They shared 58 devoted years of marriage. The couple lived in New Jersey for 14 years before settling in Enfield, CT, where they raised their family and made their lifelong home.

Patrick worked for many years as a shipping supervisor for Industrial Timers before retiring. After retirement, he enjoyed working as a school bus driver, a job that brought him great satisfaction. He found immense joy in his extensive collection of Lionel O-gauge trains, as well as feeding the birds and squirrels. Above all else, Patrick cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Nancy Navin; his children, Nancy Bakes and her husband Timothy of South Carolina, Patrick J. Navin III and his wife Kathleen of South Carolina, John Navin of Suffield, CT, and Stephen Navin and his wife Holly of Enfield, CT; his cherished grandchildren, Emily, Brianna, Nicholas, Natalee, Samantha, John Jr., and Benjamin; his great-grandchildren, Freya, Teagan, and Kyrin; and his sister, Dorothy Kashula and her husband Michael of Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Patrick was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Frank, Robert, Thomas, James, and Terrance Navin.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield, CT. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
