Patrick E. Newton passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024 at Tufts Medical Center after a long illness surrounded by family and friend.
He was 56. Born in Fitchburg on March 28, 1968 to the late Robert L. Newton Sr. of Iowa Falls and Dolores T. (LeBlanc) Newton of Fitchburg. He graduated from Monty Tech in 1986 specializing in carpentry. He was a skilled craftsman, working for Buchanan Custom Builders of Bolton, MA for over 25 years. He would often share his skills, or work side projects to help anyone who asked.
He loved watching Patriots football, as well as sports in general, but he most enjoyed riding his bike along the many trails of the area and spending time with family and friends. He will be treasured forever in the hearts that knew him.
He leaves his wife of 27 years, Robin (LaPointe) Newton, his son Patrick J. and daughter Evelyn R. Newton. He also leaves his sister, Debra Newton of Lunenburg and brother Robert L. Newton Jr. of Fitchburg as well as many aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by stepmother Margaret T. (Lynde) Newton and two stepbrothers, Anthony and Edward Lynde.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 5:00-7:00PM at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster, MA.
A Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 487 Clarendon St. Fitchburg, MA
