Patrick O'Berry Obituary

Patrick O'Berry
Born: February 18, 1963 in Grand Rapids, MI
Died: September 10, 2025 in Crystal Lake, IL
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patrick Brian O'Berry, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world on September 10, 2025, at the age of 62.
Born on February 18, 1963, in Grand Rapids, MI, Patrick lived a life filled with love, humor, kindness, and integrity. For 32 wonderful years, he shared his life with his devoted wife, Courtney (Ronsick) O'Berry, building a marriage grounded in unwavering support, laughter, and enduring love. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and memories that will be cherished forever.
Patrick loved his daughter, Katie, fiercely. They shared a generous spirit, unique humor, and a passion for adventure. His love for flying was infectious, and inspired her to pursue a career in aviation, which Patrick was thrilled to foster. She'll continue to think of him whenever she takes to the skies.
Patrick was known for his kind heart, dedication to family, strong work ethic, and generosity. He touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and strength.
He is survived by his loving wife, Courtney; daughter, Katie O'Berry; mother, Rita O'Berry; sister, Elizabeth O'Berry; and a circle of family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Jon O'Berry.
A celebration of Patrick's life will be held on September 20, from 4pm until an Irish service at 7 PM at Davenport Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor his memory, by sharing stories/memories of Patrick in the tradition of an Irish wake. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Erika's Lighthouse, or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
Though words cannot fully capture the depth of our loss, we will remember Patrick for the love he gave, the joy he brought, and the example he set. His spirit will remain with us always.
Friends and family are encouraged to leave a fond memory of Patrick on his tribute wall at www.davenportfamily.com.
