Born January 19, 1950 in Los Angeles, passed peacefully March 8, 2024 after a long illness at the age of 74. Also known as Buddy, he was born to the late Lois (Prioleau) Patton from Los Angeles, CA and Patrick N Patton Sr from Jay, Indiana.
A graduate of Palmdale High School in 1968, Pat attended Antelope Valley College and various trade schools to further his education in the Aerospace industry.
He served in the United States Army, to follow his grandfather retired Major George Washington Prioleau, Chaplain to the 9th Cavalry, US Army, and one of the first Buffalo Soldiers.
Pat was known for his aircraft structure knowledge after working on aerospace crafts from Lockheed Skunk Works and other companies in the Antelope Valley, including Boeing Repair and Modification (RAMs) Team. His passion was the loud speed and energy of NASCAR, off-road vehicle racing, all aircraft, and white water rafting with his brother David.

Pat leaves behind his wife of 32 years Patricia (Teaha ne Smalling) & Stepson Mark and daughter in-law Sherri. Pat is also survived by his sisters Cindy, and Patricia, sister in-law (Linda), brother David, sister in-law (Adrienne), along with his niece Melinda Patton, nephews Dustin Patton, Bryan Patton, and Awkmel Toomes Patton. cousins, and a wonderful -family legacy of many 'Firsts' in the Civil Rights Movement.
Viewing will be Thursday March 21 at Halley Olsen Chapel of the Valley, 38141 6th Street East in Palmdale CA 93550. Funeral procession to Bakersfield National Cemetery in Arvin CA will be Monday March 25. Please call the mortuary for more information.
