Patrick Perez, fondly known by many nicknames but most simply as "Pat," passed away on the evening of September 27, 2025, at Harbour View Senior Living in North Bergen, New Jersey. He was 63 years old.

Born on October 18, 1961, in Long Island City, New York, Pat grew up in the heart of Queens before starting a family in Jackson Heights with his beloved wife, Lee Ippolito Perez. Together, they raised their two sons, James Perez (27) and Joseph Perez (25), later settling in North Bergen, where they built a home filled with laughter, banter, and unforgettable memories.

Pat dedicated his career to the MTA NYC Transit, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. Known for his sharp wit and polarizing personality, Pat always had a riddle, joke, or clever saying at the ready. He thrived on banter with his family, had a knack for wordplay in every situation, and left a lasting mark wherever he went, sometimes through laughter and other times through lively debate.

He was the son of James Perez and Marie McDermott, the brother of Marie Pizzolo and the late George Perez. He was also a proud uncle to Charles Pizzolo Jr., Christopher Pizzolo, Daniella Malaver and Matthew Ippolito, and a grand-uncle to Victoria, Charles, James, and Elijah Pizzolo. In addition, Pat was a brother-in-law to Charles Pizzolo Sr. and Lori Ippolito. His lifelong best friend, Vincent Durante, stood by him through every chapter of life. Pat enjoyed collectibles, watching movies with his sons, and sparring in conversation as much as he loved telling stories and jokes. Whether you loved him, argued with him, or both, you never forgot him. Services will be held privately amongst family, in accordance with Pat's wishes.

Let the family know you care by leaving your condolences, favorite memories and thoughts and prayers on the Tribute Wall.
