It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patrick Ross Purdy, 67, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away on August 30, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving wife.
Patrick was born on March 21, 1958 in New Orleans to the late Ruth Gatti and Joseph Purdy.
Pat was known for his positive outlook on life and his high energy spirit. Pat was a union boilermaker who loved his job and the brotherhood that became family. Pat had a passion for gardening, playing guitar and building things with his hands. He was also an avid golfer and loved to play every chance he got. Pat never met a stranger and never made a friend; they always became family! Pat's smile was contagious and spread everywhere he went!
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Grace, his son Christopher, his estranged daughter, Dawn and goddaughter Cristy, grandchildren Elizabeth, Ethan, Austin, Christopher, Eric, Ivan. Pat has one surviving sibling, Donna. Pat was preceded in death by his daughter Trisha, his sisters Judy Ann and Ruthie and his brothers Joseph, David, Micheal and Timothy. Patrick had many friends and brothers who were lifelong friends but were more like family!
A celebration of life will be held at Pat and Grace's home in Ellenboro on a future date. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate and will be notified by phone or Facebook. Online condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com.
