I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Patrick many years ago playing softball in the St. Mary's men's league. After our playing days, I looked forward to Patrick greeting me with a smile while holding the door open as I walked up the steps to mass each weekend. He was such a sweet guy and his smile was contagious. He will be missed - 72 is way too young, but he lived an impactful life! Rest in peace, my friend.

On behalf of the men and women of the Deerfield Police Department, I would like to extend our condolences and deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Pat Quillinan as you move through these difficult times. Whatever the endeavor, Pat was up to the challenge and was always a professional and an outstanding person, father, husband, friend, etc. He will be missed by all.

The first time I met Pat was 60 years ago when he was a patrol boy/crossing guard at a corner near St. Cornelius school. He was very kind and polite, a glimpse of the man he would become. We met again at our grade school reunion. Pat was a lovely man-thoughtful, considerate, and always warm in spirit. I´m grateful to have known him, and I hold his memory with respect and affection.

Though he, that ever kind and true,
Kept stoutly step by step with you,
Your whole long, gusty lifetime through,
Be gone a while before,
Be now a moment gone before,
Yet, doubt not, soon the seasons shall restore
Your friend to you.
