Patrick Francis Reardon

Patrick Francis Reardon was born on September 30th in Detroit, Michigan, and returned to God on January 8th. A man of steadfast faith and strong character, he lived a life devoted to his family and his beliefs. Pat's deep devoutness to the Blessed Mother played a significant role in his life. Staying true to his beliefs, he would frequently remind his loved ones to "Keep the faith".

Patrick was known for his quiet appreciation of life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching sports, spending time outdoors in the sun listening to Pandora, and meticulously caring for his lawn and garden. Most especially, he treasured time spent with his family. He took great pride in their accomplishments and found joy in sharing stories and photographs of those he loved.

Patrick is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Sue, and their three children: Mary Pat (Steve Butcher), Tim (Mary Johnson), and Kathleen (Matt Abhalter). He was a proud and loving grandfather to eight grandchildren: Brady, Caroline, Graeme, Madeline, Colin, Griffin, Grace, and Violet. Pat was the eldest child of Frank and Mildred Reardon and is also survived by his sister, Catherine, and his brother, Joseph.

Patrick received his early education at Epiphany Grade School and Salesian Catholic High School and completed his electrical apprenticeship through the Detroit College of Business. He began his professional career with General Motors in 1960, where he worked until 1969. He then began working at Ford Motor Company for 4 years and then in 1972, he established his own electrical contracting business, which he owned and operated for over 25 years with integrity and dedication.

Pat will be remembered as a man of faith, a devoted husband and father, and a proud grandfather. His legacy of love, commitment, and hard work will continue through the lives of those who were privileged to know him.

A faithful Catholic throughout his life, Patrick trusted deeply in God's promise of eternal life. He lived his faith through quiet service, devotion to his family, and a spirit of gratitude for God's many blessings. As we commend Patrick to God's loving mercy, we find comfort in the hope of the Resurrection and the assurance that he now rests in the peace of Christ, reunited with those who have gone before him.
