Patrick Rosentreter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by White Funeral Home & Crematory - Cassville on Dec. 1, 2025.
Patrick Alan Rosentreter of Wheaton, Missouri, passed away on November 28, 2025, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born on April 25, 1950, in Carlinville, Illinois, to Alvin and Paulene (Eichen) Rosentreter.

Patrick graduated in 1967 before proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. A Vietnam War veteran, he carried the values of honor, courage, and perseverance throughout his life.

A talented and dedicated craftsman, Patrick worked as a carpenter for many years. He owned Rosentreter Construction, which later became NAP Construction based out of Springfield, Missouri. He approached his work with integrity and skill, leaving a lasting mark on every project he touched.

Patrick treasured the simple joys of life. He loved spending time with his pets, found peace in fishing, and enjoyed the fulfillment of building and creating with his hands.

In 2000, Patrick married the love of his life, Nancy Norman, at Wheaton Solid Rock Church. Their 25 years together were filled with deep companionship, faith, and unwavering devotion.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; two daughters, Machelle Vanderpool and her husband Randy of Purdy, and Dawn Blankenship and her husband Kyle of Nixa; one stepson, Wesley Short of Bentonville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Ricky, Alex, Austin, Alyssa, and Ashlynn; and two great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Royce Patrick. He is also survived by two brothers, Victor Rosentreter of Henderson, Kentucky, and Anthony Vail Rosentreter of Elk City, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Linda Beretto of Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Loretta Saathoff of Carlinville, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael Rosentreter.

A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Chitwood Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Missouri. Pastor Paul Walert will officiate, with military honors provided by the United States Marines and VFW Post 4207 of Monett, Missouri.

Memorials may be made to Haven of the Ozarks and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.
