Patrick Neal Scudder, 79, of Paw Paw, passed away on Wednesday January 1, 2025 after a short battle with cancer.
He was born January 22, 1945, in Streator, Illinois, the son of Lloyd Denver Scudder and Frances Corrine (McGrew) Scudder.
Pat graduated from Decatur High School in 1963. He then joined the United States Army and served in Vietnam from 1965-1967. He worked for Ameriwood in Dowagiac for 30 years and retired from Ralph Moyle Inc in 2013. Pat was a very private man, who loved his family and was so loved by them. His loving daughter and two grandsons were his pride and joy. The times he spent with them one on one were precious moments he stored in his heart. His loving wife was his rock through the difficult times and his best friend and companion. He was a loyal friend to those who were there for him when needed and stood beside him when life could be hard. It meant more to him than they will ever know. Being a quiet man with a beautiful heart, knowledge and humor were his greatest assets.
On April 20, 1968, he married Sandra (Henriksen) Scudder who survives.
He is also survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Jon) Moyle; two grandchildren, Ryan (Rachael Kovalcik) Moyle and Riley Moyle; two sisters, Martha Etter and Susanne (Paul) Clemens and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Scudder.
Following Pat's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no public services at this time.
