Patrick Travers, a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on March 13, 1944, and he held a deep commitment to his country, family, friends, and the catholic church.
Pat was born and raised in St. Louis, and graduated from St. Louis University High as well as St. Louis University. He met Barbara Koboldt, his wife of 39 years and mother of his children, in St. Louis but they spent the rest of their marriage in different states of the U.S. following Pat’s successful career as an engineer and purchasing manager. They ultimately settled in Williamsburg, Virginia, having raised four children: Marcia, Kate, Michael, and Brian, along the way. After his first wife’s passing in 2007, Patrick was fortunate to have found love again in his marriage to Judith Baker in 2013 until her passing in August 2024. Pat was thankful for the opportunity to spend the last seven months of his life back in St. Louis with his brother Dick, sisters Mary Ann and Sue, as well as many in-laws, nephews and nieces.
Pat was an avid sailor. He owned his own sailboat and loved sailing on the Chesapeake. He also enjoyed arranging sailing trips to the Caribbean Islands with his family. His favorite holiday was Christmas, which for Pat started in November and ended in March, as was evidenced by the festive lights and decorations that adorned his home throughout those months.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Travers (Jeanne); sister, Mary Ann Pfeiffer; sister, Susan Hoffman; daughter, Marcia Baldwin (Todd); daughter, Katherine Miller (Christopher); son, Michael Travers (Kelly); son, Brian Travers; as well as four grandchildren, Margaret, William, Thomas, and Sean Baldwin. His familial ties extend to many nieces and nephews, as well as his Koboldt in-laws.
Patrick was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Koboldt Travers; his wife, Judith Baker Travers; his father, Richard Travers; and his mother, Anne Simon Travers. Pat had a long and successful life and will be missed by many relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, June 8, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home of West County, 2211 Clarkson Road, Chesterfield, 63017. A Funeral Mass will take place the next morning on Monday, June 9th, at 9:00 am, at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 530 S. Mason Road, St. Louis, 63141.
