Myron "Drew" Guy Anderson, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on May 15, 1931, in Lena, Illinois, Drew lived a life rich with experiences, passion, and a free spirit that touched those around him.
Drew was a proud graduate of Lena High School and later attended Sherwood School of Music in Chicago, where he nurtured his deep love for music. He dedicated much of his life to the art of song, serving as Choir Director for Red Bridge Lutheran Church in Kansas City, Missouri, and lending his voice to the Tucson Civic Opera, where his musical talents shined brightly.
He honorably served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, exemplifying dedication and courage. Following his military service, Drew embarked on a career in sales within the real estate industry, where he left an indelible mark through his professionalism and commitment.
Drew was known for living life on his own terms, embodying the essence of a free spirit. His love for gourmet food complemented his passion for music, enriching his life and the lives of those he shared it with.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tracy (Jim) Schneider and Jan (the late, Kevin Brothers) Brothers; five grandchildren, Aeirel Wilner, Andre James Brother, Sr., Amy Schneider, Abby (Wes) Dekkers, and Alex (Matt) Feldewerth; six great-grandchildren, Andre James Brothers, Jr., Kevina Brothers, Cheyenne Adams, Elijah Kempf, Taylor Dekkers, and Logan Dekkers; and five great-great-grandchildren, Gannon Adams, Lilah Adams, Myra Brothers, Lyrik Brothers, and Levina Sherraden. Drew also leaves behind a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Anderson; mother, Ruth Alma Anderson; and grandchild, Michael Brothers. Drew's legacy of love, music, and commitment to family will continue to inspire those who knew him and felt his warmth. He will be deeply missed by all.
