Patrick Roy Vicini, a hardworking man who found joy in the fields of his farm, passed away peacefully on Sept. 20, 2025, in St. Joseph, just miles from where his journey began in Benton Harbor on Dec. 23, 1950. He devoted his life to farming and to the community of Eau Claire, living each day with dedication and quiet strength.
Pat's favorite pastime was not confined to the fields alone; he was an avid supporter of basketball, with a spirit particularly for Notre Dame Women's Basketball. His love for the game saw him as a common figure in the stands at local high school games and Lake Michigan College matches, always cheering and encouraging young talent. He found joy in the outdoors whether it was hunting or simply checking on his fields.
He leaves behind countless memories treasured by his beloved daughters: Wendy Vicini and Penny (Dean Shembarger) Vicini. He also held a special fatherly role in the life of Billie Jo (Everett) Leitz, whom he loved like a daughter.
Pat will be remembered for his generous heart and the countless ways he showed up for others. He found true joy in lending a helping hand, whether to family or friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a Dementia Foundation of the donor's choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bowerman Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Eau Claire.
An evening visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. at Bowerman, on Wednesday, Sept. 24. A funeral service will be at noon the next day, Thursday, Sept. 25. Burial will follow the service in Caldwell Cemetery.
